Lysefjorden is located in Ryfylke, with Stavanger as the nearest major city. The fjord is 40 km long and 422 meters at its deapest.
If you want collective transport or if you drive by car Stavanger is a natural gateway for many, but if you come from the East or from the Bergen area, there are other more natural gateways. We will try to provide the best possible information on how to locate the Lysefjord and all our attractions.
FJORDHOPPING
Buy A fjordhopping ticket and jump on and off the ferry and tourist combiboat as you want. 3-day tickets with unlimited use. Adults kr. 315, - children NOK. 160, -.
The ticket is available during the summer while tourist ferry is on, and is sold at Fiskapirterminalen in Stavanger and onbord the boats in question.
THE TOURIST FERRY
A guided tour on the tourist ferry on the 42 km long Lysefjord is the ultimate experience of the fjord. The trip is filled with experiences as the Preikestolen, "Fantahålå", waterfalls, goats, seals, idyllic islands and stunning scenery. Boarding in Stavanger, 28 May to 24 June, or from Lauvvik, Forsand and Lysebotn. Bring your own car or travel by public transport.

The Tourist ferry has a daily departure from Fiskepiren in Stavanger during the period 28 May to 24 June, with return from Lysebotn.
From 25 June to 28 August, two ferries daily from Lauvvik, returning from Lysebotn.
